About the Opportunity
ContiTech Australia is now seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Bayswater, Melbourne.
In this busy operational role, you will be primarily responsible for maintenance, equipment, development, improvements and project works associated with the operations of ContiTech Australia. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work with all areas of the Plant to ensure contract maintenance works are delivered on time and to safety standards.
More specifically, some of your key responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Overseeing all contract maintenance works including issuing and coordinating all work instructions and ensuring works are completed to preventative maintenance programs;
- Preparing requests for quotations for equipment replacement or modification and preparing orders;
- Preparing equipment designs with contract engineering and drafting personnel and maintaining Auto Cad files of all works;
- Supervising and coordinating installation works; and
- Providing feedback to Associates about equipment operation, maintenance quality issues and environmental issues.
To be considered for this position you will hold tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and have demonstrated experience in a similar role within a manufacturing business with a focus on preventative maintenance, scheduling and planning.
You will have experience working with hydraulics and ideally gained some knowledge of data management systems as they relate to maintenance activities, as well as in purchasing of local spare parts.
ContiTech is looking for a good communicator who is comfortable liaising with sub-contractors and providing supervision of team on-site if and when required.
