About the Opportunity
ContiTech Australia is now seeking a full-time Plant Manager to join their team in Bayswater, Victoria.
Reporting to the Managing Director and functional reporting to the Head of Operations – based out of the Head Office in Germany, you will be responsible for the achievement of plant goals in terms of quality, cost, assets and delivery. This will be based on an approved budget, through the coordination of plant activities and optimisation of plant efficiency in accordance with company guidelines.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Daily running and control of manufacturing operations;
- Acting as liaison between Manufacturing Supervision concerning the improvement and effectiveness of production, etc;
- Developing and controlling capital expenditure budgets & developing production and preventative maintenance schedules; and
- Maintaining safe working practices and Safety Operating Procedures for all production operations.
To be successful in this position, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Business and extensive experience in a manufacturing environment in a management positon. As this is a senior management role, the ability to maintain and develop strong professional relationships will also be critical to your success in the position.
Contitech Australia is looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills who has shown loyalty and growth in previous positions, and is looking for a long term opportunity.
This role would be well suited to someone with strong technical manufacturing experience and familiar with related technologies, systems, infrastructures, standards and processes.
While not essential, candidates with previous experience in the rubber industry will be highly regarded.
